President Tim Gibson wrapped up his year, thanking club members for their support in making the 2012-13 Rotary year another success for Chandler Horizon. “Considering my background, it’s remarkable that I’m standing here today,“ he said.
He thanked Pat Willigrod for asking him to join Rotary. He also reiterated his strong feelings for the work Rotary does and for the effort of Chandler Horizon Rotarians.
Both Donna Weaver and Pat Willigrod paid tribute to Pres. Tim for his successful year. Then they revealed a cake (top photo) in Tim’s honor which was shared with everyone.
Pres. Tim and President Elect Brent Patmos called up Jim Hoenig and presented him with a clock for his 17 years serving as secretary of the club. Jim has retired as secretary, giving away to Roger Morsch. Jim will remain treasurer.President Tim passed the gavel and club president’s pin to new President Brent, and Brent awarded Tim a plaque in recognition of his service and he gave Tim his Past President’s pin and badge.
