Operation Back to School Aids Chandler Students Soo-San Stevens-Clarkc and Terry Locke participated in the fitth annual Opcration Back to School project at Chandler High School last Saturday. The event was open to students living within the Chandler city limits. Students had the potential to receive goods and services totaling $90 per child. Along with backpacks filled with appropriate supplies, students could receive haircuts, shoes, socks and underwear. Famalies startcd lining up at 4 a.m. for the event, which was held from 7-11 a.m. Thanks to Soo and Terry for their participation, and especially to Marty Herder who headed up our clubs efforts in coordination with Donna Beedle, Family Resource Center Manager at AZCEND (Formerly called Chandler Christian Community Center). |

Arizona District 17 Representative Tom Forese brought us up-to-date on happenings at the State Capitol. He was introduced by Patrick Cassidy. District 17 includes Sun Lakes and parts of Chandler and Gilbert.Rep. Tom’s focus is on economic development.

The first weekend of our 20th Annual $1,000,000 Hole in One Shootout brought us two holes-in-one from golfers Randy Burger and Colin Young. Additionally, we recognize our three women's daily winners: Penny Burger, Eileen Cannaert and Cynthia Cannaert. The Shootout opens up again this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 22-24, 10am to 6pm. Come on out and test your million dollar swing! See all the results here. |
